In my Assignment 1, I have been assigned to draw 6 drawings, 3 for free-hand, 3 for technical. I have chosen to draw a toy car (decorative item) as my free-hand drawing model. I have selected my clock (gadget) as my technical drawing model. For the 3 free-hand drawings, they are basic line drawing, simple perspective & rendering drawing. On the other hand, for technical drawing, they are top view, elevation & section. The objective of this assignment is to enhance my drawing skills using drawing techniques like rendering & improve my observation ability in drawing out the plan, elevation & section views.

The necessary steps to draw a good drawing is probably getting all the measurement right, like the angles, dimensions & etc. For me, this step is really simple since the 2 objects are right in front of me.
Then, I started the assignment by drawing the easiest part, the basic line drawing. I just drew this part according to my toy car.
Then I drew the simple perspective drawing which I also found it easy to draw still. This is because I have drawn my drawings as so in the past.
The drawing that I struggle with the most is the rendering drawing as I have zero experience on rendering or hatching or any of the techniques. So I have seek advices & assistance from my lecture-tutor, Mr Akmal & one of the best students in FNBE August 2021 intake, Yao Rong. After weeks of hardwork, I have successfully rendered my toy car and I am really satisfied with that artwork.
Moving on, is the technical drawings which is my favourite, I started from the elevation view, as that's the easier part here.
The second part I drew was the top view.
Finally, I drew the section view and it gave me a bit of problem since there are many parts in it.
In the end, I enjoy this assignment really well & I have learnt numerous things from here.

In conclusion, this assignment brings me joy & satisfaction since I have learnt on how to render my free-hand drawings. I also enjoyed the process of drawing out the clock with all the lines & labels. This is just awesome cause I was a science student in my secondary school & I don't get the chance of drawing much.

I was able to manage my time quite well as I was able to complete all 6 drawings few days before the submission day. I wasn't facing much difficulties or problems as I was according to my own schedule
