HEALTH
Built environment plays a crucial role in creating a healthy society. The Rosinha area is densely packed with the housings and consequently a very high population density. The lack of public spaces and infrastructure has eventually deteriorated and destructed a lot of people, especially on their mental health part. People who have been living there for a long period of time are likely to suffer from anxiety or even depression.
SAFETY
In the Rosinha area, most of the residential areas are not organised well enough but most importantly is the favela build ups. Due to the unbalanced of development in Rio de Janeiro, the poor lightings and narrow long alleys which they call as roads in the Rosinha area are the culprits of the high number of crime cases there. There is a very high chance that the residents there will be robbed or involved in shootings too even if it's during daytime.
SANITATION
The poor sanitation in the Rosinha area has eventually caused a great number of people to be suffering from diseases like tuberculosis due to the improper sewage and drainage system. Without them, the water sources will as a result be seriously contaminated. Furthermore, this part in Brazil has consisted one of the poorest-hygiene areas since the local government has used the money which should have been used on the development of the Rosinha area on the construction of cable cars.
